Flaska från SB. Mörkbrun vätska, lågt skum. Kryddig och maltsöt doft, enbär, muskot, fänkål/anis karamell och kavring. Smaken är först kryddig, nu märks muskoten mer sedan växer lakrits/anissmaken. Mycket kryddor, sött, robust och rejält, liten beska men något torrare avslutning. En riktig vintervärmare i engelsk julölsstil som fyller ett tomrum på den svenska mikroölskartan.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and light breadish. Liqourice, roasted malty and breadish. Toasted malty, light fruity and chocolate. Bitter and roasted malty finish.

Bottled. A dark red beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma has notes of straw and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, straw, and a bit of smoke, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of anders37. Pours a clear deep amber with a creamy off-white head. Sweet roasty and nutty aroma. Medium body, sweet caramel and nuts with a light roast. May have benefted from a little more hops but actually quite good. 110113

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear dark mahogany colour, small head. Rich spicy nose, predominantly nutmeg and caramel. Mid sweet with near full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Creme brulee, nutmeg and cardamom. Warming mid bitter finish. Nice!

Thanks to Secret Santa for this one. Pours a clear deep brown with an average sized off-white head. Nutty caramel aroma. The flavor is lightly sweet and nutty following the aroma. A bit of bitterness in the finish balances out the sweetness in the palate.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear mahogany colour, rich but fairly brief head. Pungent aroma of cheap calvados and nail polish. Dry with clean mouthfeel and light body. Some roasty chocolaty malt and nuts. Notes of metal in a finish with loads of lacquer and nail polish. Very heavy off flavours, and the hard mouthfeel doesn’t offer much room to hide anything. Hopefully this brave new brewery will improve...

First rating.Draught at Bishops Arms Järntorget, on Christmas Eve 2012.Clear dark red color, light brown head. Sweet, malty, caramel, spicy scent. Sweet, herbal, spicy, dates taste. Dry spicy aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness.Sweet, dark, spicy, my kind of vinter/Christamas beer - Julöl.
