Bottle. Dark brown color. Brown sugar and yeast in the aroma. Sugary sweet, soft fruity (banana, orange), caramelly flavor. Sticky mouthfeel. Too sweet to be really enjoyable.

Swing top bottle. Dark brown color. Maple syrup, caramel and chocolate in the aroma. Full bodied, almost thick. Low on carbon. Chocolate pudding. Caramel. Tastes and smells like a good chocolate cake.

“Kaiserhof Kronator“, Bügelverschlußflasche (50 cl) vom Getränkevertrieb Ultsch, Marktgraitz. - Tiefdunkles Kastanienbraun, klar. - In der Nase tiefes dunkles Malz von gediegener Röstmalzigkeit, reich an Melanoidinen. - Antrunk satt dunkelmalzig mit bocktypischer süßer Dichte, Rosinensüße, Malzbonbons, aufgelockert durch zarte fruchtige Noten (Johannisbeergelee). Für einen Bock recht schlank. Im Abgang mild süßes dunkles Malz, zarte Kaffeebittere, mildeste krautige Hopfenanklänge. Schwacher Nachtrunk. - Runder aber arg zahmer Doppelbock, dem es an Dichte und Tiefgang mangelt. Etwas enttäuschend.

„Kaiserhöfer Pilsner“, Bügelverschlußflasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Blaß orangegelb mit zartem Grünstich, klar, wenig Schaum. - In der Nase recht unsauberer Hopfen (Orangensaft, schwach muffig) und stumpfes helles Malz. - Im Antrunk limonadenartige Fruchtigkeit (Orangenlimo) und mattes, spelzig-derbes Malz. Durchschnittlich rezent. Wenig aromatische, etwas ruppige Herbe. Unschön bitterer Nachtrunk mit leichten muffig-ranzigen Fehlaromen. - Drittklassiges Bier aus dem Frankenwald.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond and short foamy head. Mildly bready and delicately buttery malty aroma with shades of caramel, accompanied by floral and mildly herbal hops. Mildly bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a tame carbonation. Slightly bready malt character with caramel and slightly mineralic notes, backed by mildly floral and herbal hops; moderately dry bitter-sweet and cautious hoppy finish, including mildly herbal spice. Nice brew but I have to admit that I´ve expected a tad more hops. 27.XII.16
