Description
Since 1996, we’ve been brewing in Blanco, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country. When you get to make beer in a place like this, you develop a greater appreciation for the simpler things in life — fresh air, wide-open spaces, and working with your hands. We're proud to make beer with as little processing as possible. In addition to being unfiltered and unpasteurized, we never use preservatives or artificial colors. We start with water from the nearby Blanco River and the highest quality ingredients. Then we take the time to allow all the unique characteristics of the ingredients to shine. We believe doing less to the beer actually creates more complexity, aroma and flavor.

Bottle from Ericandersnavy, thanks! Orange blonde color. Grapefruit, lemon and melon in the aroma. Soft oily hopbitter, intense fruity flavor, with all kinds of citrus and tropical fruit. Easy going and likeable.

Bottle from Ericandersnavy, thanks! Golden color with a slight haze. Citrus, alcohol, dust and a hint of grass in the aroma. Nutmeg. Sweetish, alcoholic flavor with melon and peach. Hops and nutmeg unvealing themselves especially in the aftertaste. Solid tripel, maybe a bit too sweet.

I sampled a 16 oz draft of Oktoberfest at the brewery. It appeared a orange-going-to-red in color with a bare skim of white foam. The scent was of toffee and grain. And the taste was caramel, bread and crackers. Dry but refreshing on a paticularly hot and humid Hill Country Day. Decent for a style where it is hard to see a standout.
