Description
Since 1996, we’ve been brewing in Blanco, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country. When you get to make beer in a place like this, you develop a greater appreciation for the simpler things in life — fresh air, wide-open spaces, and working with your hands. We're proud to make beer with as little processing as possible. In addition to being unfiltered and unpasteurized, we never use preservatives or artificial colors. We start with water from the nearby Blanco River and the highest quality ingredients. Then we take the time to allow all the unique characteristics of the ingredients to shine. We believe doing less to the beer actually creates more complexity, aroma and flavor.

Pours hazy gold with a white head. Suspended particles. Tropical aroma. Taste is tropical fruit, citrus, pine notes. Good.

Picked this 12 oz can up somewhere, can't recall exactly, but it is a Texas beer so there is that. It pours into my Cowtown snifter a indistinct yellow-gold with a healthy head of absolutely white foam.I smell plenty of citrus, grain and a promise of hoppiness. The taste is decent if a bit thin. There is lime to begin with, an apricot sweetness, crackers, enough hops to register and some pine. Actually it is fairly tasty without having a lot of forceful presence. I guess they'll save that for the imperial version. Yeah, sure.

Sixer from Total Wine in Dallas on a work trip. Drank a few, took the rest home & lost track. Best by 4/14/25.

Pint glass at home. Clear, dark, russet amber pour with a tall, sticky tan head.
Mellow soot, subtly smokey & mellow sweet chocolate coffee nose.
Taste is chocolate-laced coffee with some dark salty bread, slight calcium edge on the tail.
A twinge too strong but the first two went down really fast.

Good.

Bottled. Pours orangey with a white head. The hops were mild and the malt was amped up. I liked it since I am not into the overhoppage.
