Aromas are dark malt and roast with hints of coffee, cocoa and molasses. Flavors are similar to nose. A little more sweet then bitter or tart up front with growing sweet at the end. Decent but nothing special.

Can shared by Steve. Hazy, golden yellow, fine particulate mist, nice head with persistent head, nice lacing. Aroma is strong dank pineapple rind, lemon citrus, bread. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Good.

Picked this 12 oz can up somewhere, can't recall exactly, but it is a Texas beer so there is that. It pours into my Cowtown snifter a indistinct yellow-gold with a healthy head of absolutely white foam.I smell plenty of citrus, grain and a promise of hoppiness. The taste is decent if a bit thin. There is lime to begin with, an apricot sweetness, crackers, enough hops to register and some pine. Actually it is fairly tasty without having a lot of forceful presence. I guess they'll save that for the imperial version. Yeah, sure.
