Description
Since 1996, we’ve been brewing in Blanco, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country. When you get to make beer in a place like this, you develop a greater appreciation for the simpler things in life — fresh air, wide-open spaces, and working with your hands. We're proud to make beer with as little processing as possible. In addition to being unfiltered and unpasteurized, we never use preservatives or artificial colors. We start with water from the nearby Blanco River and the highest quality ingredients. Then we take the time to allow all the unique characteristics of the ingredients to shine. We believe doing less to the beer actually creates more complexity, aroma and flavor.

On tap at Petrol Station. Pours a clear yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dry citrus and a bit of a floral note with a bit of sweet grain underlying. Flavor starts with dry citrus and has a bit of flora with some light grains backing.

12 oz. Christmas present from Texas. Pours a hazy gold color with an obnoxiously large white head and outstanding retention. This is gonna take a while... Spotty lacing. Faint citrus hops aroma. Soft mouthfeel. Light citrus hops taste mixed with a light yeast finish. Tastes more like a golden ale than a pale ale to me.

Seen before but never consumed, I purchased a single 2017 vintage, 12 oz bottle at the only real craft beer store in the Petroplex a couple of weeks ago. Ready to pour into my Buffalo Bayou snifter, here it goes. I note an opaque, dark gold liquid with a decent pure white head, looks like good lacing possibilities. A smell, some ripe yellow fruit and cereal. I take a full drink. A bit different taste, yellow raisin, somewhat vinous, crackers and a surprising hoppiness. Not exactly my style but I can appreciate. The alcohol is not apparent. Certainly a bottle to finish. Buy again? Likely not.

650ml bottle at Josh&Sunshine place. A bit hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma is fruity and malty, not very pleasant. Taste is similar. Meh.

Bottle from Total Wine, Texas
Hazy blond colour. The aroma is bready. The malt flavour is bready too (light bread), hay, some grassy hops, touch of hope resins and citrus peel.
Modern, not the most exciting one, but good.

Slight haze, light tan colour. Has a bit of a mossy character, with a lemony note, and a fairly sweet malt note. The hop note is okay, maybe a bit of citrus, and there's a fair bit of malt. Not super bright, but decently-balanced beer.
