Many thanks to Taboada for this bottle! Smooth and fresh. Lots of wood and whisky. Great depth, lots of wood, intense dark malty thick rich beer. Plums, raisins, nice harmonising with the subtle but still peated woody whisky. Fascinating seep in the aftertaste with lots of caramel, plums and malt. Great stuff!

On tap at Murphy’s Law. Hazy amber pour with a very tall off-white head. Notes of grapefruit, bitter and metallic, honey, caramel. Medium body and carbonation and a bitter and metallic finish.

Tap at Hop Artisan, Helsinki. Colour is clear dark brown with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Dryness, coffee, some chocolate and roasted malts. Very nice dry drinkability.

Draught @ Hop Artisan. Poured pitch black with a thick dense off white head. Aroma has roastedness, mild tartness, dark fruits. Inviting. Flavor has chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, salt. Quite complex. Massive but still good drinkability. Wow.

Bottle, many thanks Taboada! Reddish-brown color with eggshell head. Aroma is malty, sticky resinous, raisins, berries, toffee, a bit milk chocolate. Taste is sweet, raisins, caramel, toffee, figs. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Sticky. A proper Barley Wine!

Draft at Murphy’s Law. Very hazy amber with a big off white head. Aroma of big grapefruit, citrus, light peach coming out behind and caramel malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught@Craft Beer Helsinki 2016. Hazy goldeny amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and floral hops along with some tea leafs, caramel and mild citrus. Flavour is very similar, but also having a slight gluelike sweetness to it. Grassy and earthy notes in the aftertaste as well.
