Frischer, hefig fruchtiger Antrunk, Zitrus, Koriander. Weniger vollmundig aber deswegen nicht schlechter geht es im Mittelteil zu, deutlich bitter, nach wie vor aromatisch hopfig. Dabei kommen nach und nach eher dunkle Fruchtnoten hervor, die trockene Bitterkeit gefällt. Langer zitrushopfiger Nachhall. 9/12/10/11/9/11

750ml bottle [#488]. Clear, dark amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, sulphureous head. Citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of grapefruit, orange, partly displaced by coffee notes, cold coffee, coffee powder. Taste is citrusy, resinous and herbal bitter hoppy, vast coffee interference; in its best moments coffee and hop bitterness is integrated and finds some moderately sweet caramel malty support - in other moments slightly unconnected and inharmonious. Though one would think the coffee addition to be more adequate with dark beers, we have an overall working combination in this case (cf. e.g. Sleep Over Coffee IIPA, Koppi Tomahawk x Guji Natural Coffee IPA).

500ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Milk chocolately malty aroma, slightly disguised pumpkin notes, mild spiciness, a cinnamon touch, fruity hoppy overtones with hints of orange. Taste is fruity hoppy, slightly wheaty, spicy, notes of cinnamon, disguised pumpkin in the background, a milk chocolate touch. Not completely harmonious, but also neither overdone nor unpleasant in any way.
