Frisch-malziges Ale. Floraler und schon fast scharfer Hopfen (sehr tolles aroma), das aber irgendwie nicht ganz zu dem netten malzigen (leicht röstmalzigen) Körper passen will. Moderat herb im Nachgeschmack, frisch-spritzig mit einem Hauch trockenen Malzes.

Bottle, 5.3%. The aroma is a tad fruity for the style, but not bad. Almost black colour, clear red shine. Big stable creamy tan head. The flavour is nicely roasted, quite powerful. Good roasted finish. Vinous and fruity for the style but flavorful and good.

Bottle, bought at Galopper des Jahres, Hamburg. Pours slightly hazy very dark brown with shades of ruby and stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of caramel and subtle hoppy touches. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of hops and malt and subtle hints of caramel. Creamy mouthfeel despite the rather high carbonation. Lingering, roasty aftertaste. Well-balanced and enjoyable. A really decent Schwarzbier!

Draught @ Galopper des Jahres, Hamburg. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy but stable dark tan head. Clear aroma of roast and malt, with notes of coffee. Ditto taste, complemented by subtle hints of liquorice. Coffeelike and roasty aftertaste with estery notes. Decent.

Bottle 500ml. @ home. [ As Buddelship Hokkaido Twin Pumpkin Wheat Ale ].[ Trade by Beerhunter111 ]. Clear medium orange - amber yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, wheat, moderate yeasty, citrus, flowers, fruity, light pumpkin fruit (not pumpkin spices). Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, floral, flowers, spicy yeast, perfume, peppery, light pumpkin, honey - nectar notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150329]

Klare dunkel goldgelbe Farbe, ordentliche weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch würzig malzig, trockene Früchte, Zimt. Geschmack fruchtig malzig, Gewürze, Fruchtfleisch, gering bitter hopfig, im Abgang harzig.

Draft sample @ Berlin Braufest 2015. Brune foncée, col blanc-cassé. Arôme est malté et grillé, chocolaté, caramel typiquement allemande sur la base olfactive. Petite pointe de chocolat-café qui arrive en rétro nasal. Palais est malté et grillé avec de belles notes, ici aussi, allemandes. Amertume est noble avec une bière plus portée sur les malts, je note même une pointe douce de lactose, caramel et ponctué par une fine amertume noble. Fini est poussiéreux, chocolaté avec une bière qui oscille plus vers un porter qu’une Shwarssbier.

Draft sample @ Berlin Braufest 2015. Orangée, col fin blanc-cassé. Arôme de café assez prenant offrant un rétro légèrement épicé du café. Rétro fruité houblonné qui ajoutant des notes d’agrumes plaisantes. Palais offre un agréable profil de café, fini sec et grillé, pointe d’amertume houblonnée qcq notes d’épices venant du café. Malt caramel qui perce sur la fin, mais le café reste cependant très agréable avec un café juste à sa place sans être ni surfait ni trop faiblard.

Draft sample @ Berlin Braufest 2015. Dorée un peu trouble, col blanc crémeux. Arôme au nez houblonné citronné, fleuri et fruité avec une petite note de kiwi et citronnelle. Palais offre une belle note de levure dans un style belge et une pointe de rustique. Effervescence est haute, fruité et citronné des houblons nobles, malt pils, crystal? fini sec accompagné d’un agréable houblonné noble fleuri et fruité.

Draft sample @ Berlin Braufest 2015. Orangée, col fin blanc-cassé. Arôme offre le plein de citrouille qui est apparemment une sorte de petite courge en Allemagne - Hokkaido Kürbis. Léger épicé, malt pâle avec un rétro presque mielleux et un rétro qui offre le plein de citrouille. Palais est épais, impression de purée de courge, citrouille, le tout sur un profil malt carapils, pâle et une houblonné noble qui permet à la courge de prendre une bonne place. Épicé rappelant le girofle.
