Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2023 (MBCC Day 2) - Sweet dark malty with lots of herbal and floral action, spices, warming whisky notes, far too spiced herbal boozy for me.

0,44 l can. BB 21.03.2024. Cloudy golden with a nearly two finger white foamy head in the glass. Looks really good. Present fresh hop on the nose with caramel and grain. Taste starts mid hoppy, fresh, some hints of peppermint. Pale grainy, some cookies. Below average carbonation. Not bad at all.

0,44 l can. Cloudy orange in the glass. Small one finger white foamy head. Intensive floral fresh bitter hoppy with sweetness. Taste starts foral, caramel, dried pale fruits, some resin and honey. Some malty bitterness to the end with metallic hints. One of the better Heller Bocks.

0.5 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com' as 'Buddelship Lost Horizon Farm Foeder Helles' at 5.9% abv, bottled in March 2023. Minimally hazy, golden amber with a thin, slightly fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sourish, slightly sweetish, quite funky and gently vinous-fruity aroma of gooseberry, red wine, overripe lemon and traces of vinegar. Slightly sweet, gently tart, quite funky and rather vinous-fruity taste of grains, overripe lemon, gooseberry, red wine, some oak and light vinegar, followed by a short, gently tart, moderately dry finish. Medium body, gently astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Interesting beer, hardly recognizable as a Helles after three years in that brett infected wine barrel. Quite refreshing.
