720 ml bottle from Furusato Nozei. Icy clear. Simple nose, rice, apple, touch of mandarin. Light to medium fruity sweetness, prickly, peppery, spice, warm alcohol, stone fruit. Light, crisp body with a dry finish. Summery, but I got it in winters nice.

Bottle. Furusato. Nose is rice, some vanilla, cream, Rich, light apples, maybe baked. Viscous, lightly oily. Dry as hell. Rice, light cream, very interesting dryness, grainy, a bit hot. Notes of apricot and orange in the finish. Crisp and quite nice.

720 ml bottle form Furusato Nozei. About the most yellowish sake I have seen save old-fashion brews and koshu. Clear, oily. Strong yamahai funk in the nose, dusty, lactic, tons of rich rice. I think this will be better warmed, but anyhow, it is chilled slightly. Sharp fruity acidity with yogurt, vanilla, rice pudding and a dry, slightly grainy finish. A bit surprising in its fruitiness. Orange, apricot, apple. Very tasty. Finish is a bit dull but funky. Interesting yamahai, rather unique. Will try it warmed as well--> As expected, it was nicer warmed to 40C. The fruitiness subsided, but so did the final roughness. It opened up nicely, with a better nose and a smoother palate.

720 ml bottle from Furusato Nozei. Saving the best for last, or so I hope. Slightly oily and icy with a slight yellowish tint. Strong koji aroma, spicy, peppery, cedar, ginjo-ka. Also apple and pear. Elegant and refined. Flavor is slight minerals, apple and pear, slight warm sweet rice in mid palate, dry finish. There is some estery fruit as well, not banana but something like that. Excellent stuff.

720 ml bottle from Furusato Nozei. Lightly fruity nose. Citrus, apple, light melon, rice, koji. Slightly creamy. Clear, oily, with the slightest yellow tint. Sweet, creamy flavor. Quite intense fruitiness like melon and over-rpe pears. Silky and smooth. Dryish finish. Nice.

To finish off my expensive sake lunch in style. Very deep syrupy looking gold pour. Nose is rich vanilla, oak, and flowers. Tastes almost brandy like but i supposse 12 years aging will do that, Thicker bodied and semi sweet. Some pears, vanilla, cantaloupe, and oaky. hint of spice.
