Half liter bottle courtesy of madmitch76. Pours deep dark with tan head. The aroma is dark fruitiness with some black licorice, mildly earthy notes and some dark roasted malts. The taste is full up sweetness from raisins, cherries, and plums mixing with a nice load of chocolate, some black licorice and then dark roasted malts. A very nice brew that hides away its huge ABV very well.

Pours a rich brown clouded beer with fine beige head that dissolves quickly. Sweet smell, fruity touches and hints of caramel. Bitterdry taste, roasted malts mostly. A lot of carbon in the mouth when drinking. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Mostly roasted malts. Not very balanced. Aroma was more promising than turned out.

Bottle @ Liva, Kolding. Pours unclear golden with a large fluffy white head and lacings. Nose is yeasty and has vague hints of smoke and rubber. Not nasty but quite unusual. Flavor is dry and again smokey with some dry grassy and yeasty notes beneath. Medium and smooth palate. A bit of warmth and stickyness from alcohol. Ends dry and crisp. Fine drinkability.

330 ml bottle, unfiltered and unpasteurised, at Universitetsbaren, Aarhus. ABV was 7.6%. Served in a Hoegaarden Grand Cru glass. Black colour, big to moderate brown head. The aroma is first fairly fruity for an impy stout, notes of prunes. Also roasty with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and liquorice, hints of tar and smoke. The flavour is roasty with notes of coffee and liquorice. Tar and smoke in the finish. Distinct bitterness, but not extreme for an impy stout. Smoke, coffee and bitter hops in the long aftertaste.

Black with a small tan head. The roasted aroma has a lot of licorice, with sweet alcohol almost liqeuer-like. Roasted flavour with licorice and a fruity touch. Intense alcohol character but seems fuller in flavour than the regular.
