Nothhaft Ur-Hell, Flasche von Getränke Hoffmann, Münchberg. - Goldgelb, blank; schwache Schaumbildung. - In der Nase leicht stumpfe, generisch zitronige und herbale Hopfung über süßlichem hellen Malz. - Antrunk recht leicht hellmalzig und mild zitronig-herbal gehopft. Knappe Restsüße, eine Andeutung von Butterkeks. Stärker rezent als nötig, ein wenig harsch. Im Abgang ausreichende herbale Hopfenherbe. - Generisches Durchschnitts-Helles ohne bemerkenswerte Züge und ohne Tiefe, überhaupt kein Vergleich zu einem Charakterbier wie dem Hellen der Merkendorfer Brauerei Wagner, das ich zum Vergleich getrunken habe. Noch trinkbar aber entbehrlich. (17.12.2024.)

A clear amber beer with a small white head. Aroma of mild nutty and caramelized malt, biscuit. Taste of spicy bitter hops, biscuit, caramel, moderate carbonation and bitterness.

Bottle at Base Camp. Hazy golden-orange body, off-white head. Faintest of DMS whiffs maybe at first, but gone immediately, making me wonder if I had imagined it. Soft caramelly and slightly floral aroma with a light touch of green apple. The taste is, however, pleasantly clean, soft sweetish floral, caramelly, lightly minerally, and herbal, without bitterness. Quote drinkable, nice!

Draft @ Beer Ditch, Malmö. Pours an amber color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty bready grainy aroma. Fruity malty grainy bready flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy bready finish.

First authentic German Zoigl! Sweet malts and crisp, slightly bitter finish. The American Zoigl style lagers actually get quite close. Thanks Bruno V.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Deep golden colour, not much head. Aroma is toffee, some bready, mild floral and wooden tones. Flavour is sweet malts, herbs, some earth and mild herbal tones. Somewhat dry palate.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy amber with a fluffy head. Rye bread, malt, some citrus, caramel, zest, vanilla. Dry zesty bitterness, malty sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty grainy bready finish. Decent Kellerbier!
