Description
AMS is an Amsterdam-based, non-profit, strategic-buying alliance that currently works on behalf of 9 top food retailers. Since 1988, the alliance has been initiating, managing, and coordinating joint-buying activities for its shareholders and, later, for EURO SHOPPER™ distributor members as well.
By pooling and leveraging our retailers’ expertise and volume to source private label products on an international scale, AMS is able to deliver the best possible quality goods at competitive prices. This enables retailers to offer shoppers greater value for money, which improves their bottom line and gives them a clear competitive edge in today’s fast-moving retail market.
AMS’ buying service includes private labels in food, near-food, and non-food. We also offer shareholders and members the shelf-ready, AMS-developed EURO SHOPPER™ discount brand – the pan-European budget range, which is currently sold in more than 6 different countries.

33cl can @ home. Clear yellow to golden color, medium sized thick white head that lasts for a long time. I must say this is not what I expected from a 0.30 euro can. Aroma is very malty and buttery. Same for the flavor: malty, thin, buttery. It’s not really filthy, but it’s weak and tasteless. Low body, thin texture, low carbonation.

Smell of malt. Golden colour. Aroma of alcohol, malts, starch. Medium carbon. Malty aftertaste. Surprisingly little metal/rubber aroma for bulk shit.

Bottle at a strange hippy squat music festival in Leiden. Pours pale golden with a white head. Aroma is mostly rotten eggs. Flavour is not so bad, with more of the malt and hops coming out. Still not exactly great though and that’s putting it nicely..

Canned, thanks oh6gdx! Clear pale golden, rich head. Aroma of sugar and overripe fruit. Swett with light body and rounded mouthfeel. Sugar and corn, noted of butter. Hardly any bitterness. Tolerable.

ChrisOs Marvellous Pre GBBF Mega Tasting. Clear pale gold beer, no real head. Light dry palate. A little crisp. Papery dry malt with a trace of citrus. Deathly dull.

Can 500ml (K-Isolinna, BB 05/2013)
Pale yellow color, good foamy white head, lace. Typical Olvi aroma, which is plain, sweetish corn malty and grainy with hints of harsh metal. Light bodied. Unoffensive sweetish maltyness, papery and grainy. Short finish. Certainly feels more Olvi than A. Le Coq.
