Schnapp-Fläschla: (Many thanks to MoritzF for the beautiful sight-seeing tour across the Franconian Switzerland!!!)Deep Golden, almost clear, lazy carbonation, quite firm and pretty stable white head; mild to moderate dry bitter-mineralic nose; almost medium bodied, crunchy MF, nearly moderate bitter flavour with a delicate residual sweetness; lingering dry bitter-grainy finish. Not very aromatic, not sophisticated, just extremely well quaffable...

(swing top bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Biscuity malty aroma with notes of caramel and traces of molasses, backed by flowery and slightly herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Balanced biscuity cara-malt character with a good dash of drying herbal-spicy hops; grainy spots can be found during the finish. More-ish brew. 27.V.18

Bottle @ Bayreuth. Pours Clear Pale yellow with a white head. Grass, straw and biscuit. Smooth and mellow with a bitter finish. Slightly rough grain as it warms..

Flasche (50 cl) aus Keils Getränkemarkt, Bayreuth. - Goldgelb, klar. - Nase schwach hellmalzig mit unschönen Hopfenextraktnoten (Anklänge an Joghurt und Chlor). - Antrunk mild hellmalzig und zart malzsüß. Der Hopfeneinsatz ist für ein Helles recht kräftig, mit Kräutern und Zitronenschale. Durchschnittliche Rezens, eher trocken im Mund, zart salzig. Abgang schön trocken mit mild kräuterwürziger Hopfenherbe und leichten Anklängen an Schweineschmalz. - Für ein Helles recht kräftig gehopft, leider auch mit Hopfenextrakt, was den Geschmack etwas beeinträchtigt.

Der Schaum ist leicht bräunlich und das Bier riecht schön nach Röstmalz. Im Antrunk erst etwas laff entfaltet sich schnell ein trockener Röstmalzgeschmack, der aber im Nachgeschmack nach dem ersten Schluck doch auch wieder etwas schnell verfliegt. Nur langsam breitet sich eine leichte Süße aus, die je mehr man von dem Bier trinkt, immer deutlicher zu spüren ist. Auch werden die Röstmalzaromen etwtas stärker und angenehmer.
Im Großen und Ganzen ein schönes fränkisches Dunkel, dessen Aromen aber etwas stärker ausgeprägt sein könnten.

Herber Antrunk mit vorerst platter Süße, die sich später als grasiger Anhang des Hopfens entpuppt. Mittelintensiv, sowohl Herbe als auch Hopfen halten nicht lange und verstecken sich noch im Mittelteil. Nun wenig aussagekräftig, da der Hopfen weg ist merkt man die vorher nicht erkennbare Muffigkeit nun deutlich. Wässriger, ziemlich langweiliger Abgang. Naja. 11/8/6/6/5/6

Pale golden with a small white head. Grainy malt aroma with hay-like hops. Dry, bready malt flavour with a nice hop character and refreshing bitterness.

Bottle @ Papsø-Grand-Tasting, September 2010. Pours clear yellow with a small bubbly white head. Nose is svovl hay and grain. Dry, grainy and perfumey flavor. Dry hoppy end.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, light hoppy, grass, metalic. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, grass, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100911]
