Description
Defying the odds isn’t just what we do, it’s a part of our DNA. We were founded by a woman in 1867. Lived through two wars. Survived a fire. Overcame the Halifax Explosion. Competed as an independent company against breweries 100 times our size. We haven’t just survived - we’ve thrived. And while others back down, we outlast. Moosehead Breweries Limited is the last major brewery in Canada still owned by Canadians. The brewery is located in Saint John, New Brunswick and operates with values that have been safely guarded by the same family for 148 years. Despite obstacles – devastating fires, Prohibition, the Great Depression, two world wars, obstructive trade barriers, and bruising competition from breweries 100 times its size – Moosehead is one of the most durable and long lasting companies in Canada. Ultimately it has been the Oland family’s passion for beer that has enabled them to be successful over the long term. With their product on beer shelves from the Maritimes to B.C., and its flagship Moosehead Lager shipped to approximately 350 distributors in the U.S.; Moosehead has become an iconic mainstay in North America’s beer industry

Grainy neutral beginning. No bitterness, not much aroma. Sessionable like water with hints of grainy sweetness there.

This radler poured a light, cloudy yellow colour with a big, bright white head. Minimal lacing. Scents include grapefruit, other citrus and Wink pop. First swig was smooth with a little hoppness. Flavours of fruit juice and white bread most prominent. Finish is juicy and refreshing. With the grapefruit lingering.

Can from LCBO, AirBnB ticking beer, trying to get all my styles to 100. Sadly LCBO had no polotmavies. Hazy to cloudy golden color dense white head with good retention. Nice dusty grapefruit aroma. Taste is grapefruit juice, lager in an uninteresting combo. Still one of the best radlers I've had, and the best since Vilnius with nate2g.

Can at Maple Leaf, Covent Garden. Nul aroma. Golden. Thick fluffy white head. Low key taste: sweet and sour. Industrial. Light bodied. Watery. Fizzy carb. Abrupt finish. Pretty pants.

Can at Hair of the Dog, Phloen Chit, Bangkok. Poured a hazy straw colour with a long lasting frothy white head. The aroma is sweet lemon citrus. The flavour is moderate sweet with a light watery, grainy, citrus fruit palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation. Don't really get some of the higher ratings for a shandy! I guess it hits the mark when cool on a hot day if nothing else.

On tap at Bittercreek Boise. Classic clear light yellow with a thin soapy white head very light and watery. Toning "off" just nothing there. A few courses points for simply being not offensive.

Can from Brewers Haven. It’s summer, it’s radler season. Although here in the states, they have a loose interpretation of the style. This however, is spot on. Pale golden with nice fluffy head. Light lemony aroma. Taste is even more lemons, still a nice pils base. Very refreshing, very tasty. Thank you, Moose Head.
