From tap the Hamburg brewpub. Pours cloudy to hazy dark amber with a diminished off-white head. Aroma is dark roasted malt and slight breadish. Mild fruity, breadish, caramelish and slight toffee note. Ends dry malty and bitter hoppy. Lasting fruity impression.

From tap the Hamburg brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a lacing white head. Aroma is mild orange fruity and vague citric. Mild fruity, sweet malty and a bit flat on the mouthfeel given a more one dimenstional flavour impression to provide more dominans on the malt notes. Mild orange fruity into the finish.

From tap the Hamburg brewpub. Pours hazy dark orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is dark malty and light estery fruity. Smooth malty, wheaty, citric, fruity and mild estery. Dry wheaty finish.

(Draught at the brewpub) On August 2, 2008. Pale golden color, white head. Sweet malty scent and taste. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness.

(Draught at the brewpub) On August 2, 2008. Cloudy straw yellow color, white head. Acidic, malty and grainy scent. Malty sweet taste. A bit thin mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

On tap at the Brauhaus. GOld with a thin off-white head; rich malt aroma; spritzy in the mouth with a sweet orange flavour and a gentle bitter finish. Very pleasant.

On tap at the brewpub. Not like a typical hefeweizen in my opinion. Fairly traditional look with a hazy straw colour and a thin white head; but the aroma was of fresh citrus and grass; fruity and sweet in the mouth with a sharp grapefruit bitterness, with a really long finish. I ordered a Weissen and it was served in a Weissen glass, but seemd more like an IPA to me, and a good one at that.

Muddy orange with a big white head. Deep classic yeasty aroma, with banana and clove Sweet and smooth yeasty flavour.

Muddy pale yellow with a firm and lasting white head. Pilsner malt aroma with some vegetable, and a little noble hops. Dry and very hoppy. Butter in the aftertaste.

Cloudy light amber with a thick and lasting off-white head leaving lace. Weak malt aroma, some caramel, some green apple. Sweet and fruity malt flavour. Smooth and drinkable.
