From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden amber with a small tan head. Aroma is vague fatty caramelish and slight fruity. Caramelish and slight butterish flavoured. Solid bitterness and dry flavoured malt base into a bitter and dry finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy and golden orange to amber with a small white tan head. Aroma is roasted malty with a vague fruity note. Roasted malty flavoured, light liqourice to dark toffeeish caramel flavour. Lingering roasted and sweet finish. Nice one.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Mild citrusy fruity aroma. Biscuity malt base with a light grassy and slight citrusy hops not swept through. Fruity and hoppy finish.

Malzig-grasiger Antrunk, hierbei wird der Malzton zum Mittelteil geringfügig schwächer. Neben der aufkommenden Hefigkeit ist hier vor allem zu erkennen, dass das Malz röstiger wird ohne aber an Intensität zuzunehmen. Im Nachgeschmack dagegen wird es deutlich kräftiger, weich malzig, cremig. Das hier bestehnde herbe Aroma sorgt für Balance, das Malz steht aber weiterhin im Vordergrund. Nett! Herber und sehr grasiger Antrunk, etwas nach Heu. Im Mittelteil hopfig, der grasige Part will aber nicht weichen und bildet so mit der Herbe das zentrale Aroma. Nach und nach wird das Bier milder, das Hauptaroma wird süßlich. Hopfen und Herbe nehmen plötzlich ab, so entsteht ein süßlich-trockenes und etwas wässriges Aroma. Zuletzt etwas hopfig. Hefig-hellmalziger Antrunk, sehr getreidig (mild). Während die Hefigkeit noch präsent bleibt wird der Hopfen immer deutlicher und tritt in den Vordergrund, zum Ende macht sich dann eine deutlich würzige Note bemerkbar. Vollmundig ist das Bier auch im Abgang, in dem die Getreidenoten aus dem Antrunk sich mit einem Malzaroma verbinden und so den besten Teil des Bieres einleiten. Sehr hefiger Antrunk, etwas trocken, kurz unterbrochen von einem wässrig-herben Ton. Im Mittelteil dann deutlich milder, die süßliche Hefigkeit steht alleine da. Wässrig-hefiger Abgang mit angedeuteter Herbe. Passabel. Test vom 12.8.2008, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 11,9,8,8,-,8 - 8,47

Draught at the brewpub in Düsseldorf. Cloudy dark brown colour, small head. Full flavour, sweet and with a nice maltiness and pepper aftertaste. Unfortunately, plenty of cardboard malt seems to have been added. A nice beer, could have been a killer Doppelbock, but this brewpub chain do not seem to know what they are selling.

Draught at the brewpub in Düsseldorf. Sour, but refreshing aroma. Almost clear golden colour, small stable white head. The flavour is nicely dusty and hop aromatic, but unfortunately ends with a little plastic. Low bitterness. Good mouthfeel for a lager. Would be a good example of the German "Gold" style were it not for the plastic notes.
