A hardworking northern brewery.

We’re on a mission to grow Beartown by challenging ourselves and our community to dream big. It’s that simple. However It takes decades of dedication to truly understand that progress can’t be rushed. We understand that time doesn’t guarantee anything but a journey to be shared and it’s exactly that which inspires us.

Beartown means more than a pint of beer, it’s a community of drinkers that identify with a cause to give back to their roots. A spirited belief in the power of persistence, creativity and that a pint tastes best when earned. We have a vision to spread our ethos, furthering the growing community of Beartowners and all whilst making great tasting craft beers that can be enjoyed by generations.

330ml can, a Father's Day present, drank on 15th June 2025 (Father's Day). White crust on a clean and clear light golden body. A bit dry and boring to be honest, drank straight after a Vetra Helles and that was far superior in my eyes. Not a lot going on here.

On the day I am drinking this beer, 83 years ago the Toronto Maple Leafs were completing a very rare feat, and they were the first to do this, and only team to do it to win a title, coming back from 3-0 down to win a best of seven sporting series. They lifted ice hockey's Stanley Cup defeating the Red Wings. Personally I'm a Boston Bruins fan, so from that beartown to this one - A dryish but crisp lager, fair, not too helles in style in reality.

Deadication beer to Charles Hälle, who's name is synonymous with Manchester's Halle Orchestra, born on this day. If he had composed this beer it would be a good one. Hoppy sweet-tropical fruit notes, in both aroma and taste.
