Description
Folkingebrew was founded with the aim of brewing beer that we like to drink ourselves. That is why we make beers with a distinct character in taste, aroma and color.
Because of our passion for good beer, we try to get a little better with every beer and push our boundaries.
Folkinge, the first part of our name, refers to the location where we started brewing: in the 'backyard' of a beer shop on the Folkingestraat in Groningen. Brew refers to the American craft beer culture, where we get our inspiration.
Between 2018-2025 client brewer, became a brewery in 2025 but the large batches, which are canned, are still brewed at Baxbier.

For a pastry stout I was expecting more Omnipolleque sugary stuff. This is a lovely thick stout with chocolate, a hint of vanilla and some light bourbon notes. Bittersweet, great body, lots of flavour and nicely smooth. Well balanced, lovely.

Good stuff! Fairly dry, with a good bitterness. Lots of grape / white wine characteristics. Maybe a tad too much carbonation for me, but that's a minor thing. Loads of flavour, super easy drinking. Go away with them Brut IPAs, I want more of this!

Very nice! Good balance between juicy, fruity hoppyness and a subtle bitterness that keeps it beery enough. Tropical, some mango and papaya. Little bit high on the carbonation, though, and quite buttery after warming.. Fun etched bottle.
