Born in 2006, from the infatuation of two university comrades, the original equipment came from the berry brewery. Tap at Moeder Lambic. Wow. Great stuff. Soapy, lemon, light graininess, touch of cream. Reminds me of xx bitter. Maybe get a touch of the strength later on but surprisingly easy drinking. Bitter and citrusy.

Keg at MLF. Dark red brown colour, initial big creamy light gold head that soon fades. Aroma is pleasantly roasty, sweet malt, chocolate and cream, touch of hops. Taste is nice, quite fruity, sweet again, but with light bitterness. Easy drinking. Feels like a dubbel with a little bit more hoppiness.

Tap at Moeder Lambic. Smells like melon, bit of orange, bit of roast lurking. Taste is similar, dominated by the hops, but with a bit of chocolatey maltiness at the finish. Quite bitter. Interesting

Keg at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Pale and slightly cloudy blond colour with big white head that soon fades. Aroma is a fruity, bit mango, and a bit herbal, lots of wheat and a bit of lemon. Taste adds a bit of creaminess. Much nicer than the last time I had it.

On tap at Delirium Taphouse Brussels. Dark orange, almost brown with a small white head. Aroma is full of orange, slight lemon sharpness and a bit malty. Taste is very crisp, orange sherbert punch and then a bitter tingly finish. Quite fizzy in the mouth. Medium to full bodied and dangerously drinkable. Delicious.

Draft at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Extremely pale yellow with an initial big white head with small bubbles. Aroma is orange and lemon with wheaty undertones. Taste is refreshing with slight bitterness. Aftertaste is very wheaty. Quite thin bodied with low carbonation. Very drinkable, but less robust and exciting than I remember it being previously. Still good though.

Fast disappearing yellow head over fully hazy ochre-orange beer. Caramelly, cake-bottom hops, bit of dry hopsacks ans lupulin. Orangepeel, citrus, hint at young nettles. Warming up, ureum. Quite bitter, quite dry. Orangepeel again, lupulin, hopoil-dominated. Bit metallic bitterness, BTW, wry. And I seem to get whiffs of.. diethylether? Medium bodied, quite hopoilslick, medium carbonation. J-J quality as usual, with the obligatory USA hops None for the worse. I Thanks to Stef! /I
