25/VIII/18 - sample @ BXL Beer Festival - BB: n/a (2018-1115) Thanks to the Belgian and Dutch Ratebeer crews for sharing today's beers!

Little cloudy deep orange beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, pretty clean, nice bitterness, dry, bit grassy. Aftertaste: more malty, grassy, bit metallic, good lager, not an actual pils, way too malty.

Tap at St. Gilles. Big fruity nise, hops, grapefruit zest, lemon, minerals, some spicy yeast. Hazy deep orange, high head. Very minerally and zesty, light honey sweetness. Some apricot and peach. Finished pretty dry for the abv. Good dry, hoppy tripel, I would say.

Tap at St. Gilles. My first new BJ-J since they first emerged. Slightly worty nose, grainy, lemony, light. Ise. Cloudy golden orange with a high head. Crisp, light, lemony, dry. Some minerals come through, hay, bit of yeasty spice. Almost like a cask UK golden. Light, spritzy body. Decent, not great.
