Bottle from Untappd Beer Advocate mixed pack. Opaque dark brown, nice viscosity, ring of head, no lacing. Aroma is strong earthy malt, molasses, anise. Taste follows aroma with late hint of cacao nibs & salted caramel. Smooth, silky texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Tastes good but, if you're going to advertise a lot of cacao nibs and salted caramel, they've got to be more present!!

500 ml shared by tfontana. Thank you! 2023 vintage. Aroma is Black licorice for days the body and texture nice but I’m not really finding the salted caramel. It is a black licorice bomb. A rare swing and a miss for this brewer. Not my style of imperial stout.

Bottle at home shared with Laura. Opaque black color, quickly diminishing brown head. Aroma is malts, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is wow, heavy, huge coffee, boozy a bit, sweet vanilla, chocolaty notes but also quite sweet. In the finish though, there's definitely also a roasty bitterness. A bit over the top for me personally, but I can see a lot of people liking this a lot.

Thanks Steve.
Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: burnt yellow/orange haziness with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated at a nice pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: floral to grassy hop notes up front with some citrusy hoppiness settling in underneath; light clean malts
Flavor: bittersweet through the prior noted aromas to add some light juiciness in there; finishes citrusy and a touch of floral
Texture: medium bodied, great sipper, some smoothness and a touch of dryness on the tongue
Overall: a very nicely done NEIPA I would welcome again.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, small head. Bourbony caramel aroma. Very sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Maple syrup, caramel and licorice. Lots of bourbon. Very sweet. But thankfully never cakey.

Pint Bottle from Benny’s Place, Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black in colour with a round frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, vanilla. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter and sweet, with a rich, somewhat smooth, roasty, aromatic, liquorice.nutty, warm boozy alcohol bitter finish. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

From Beer Drop, no canning date that I can find.

Pours black with a small head of tan foam. Lacing is better than retention.

Smell is chocolate, yeah fudge, vanilla, mild lactose.

The taste is chocolate sweet, fudge with vanilla, roasted malt, some kind of pitted fruit. Alcohol is there but it is not intrusive.

High end of medium bodied if not outright full bodied, I would drink this again.

2025 bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a viscous deep brown to black with a small bit of beige head that lingers. Lots of floaties and bubbly carbonation after the pour. Aromas of sweet marshmallow, milk chocolate and graham. Barrel character seems faded in the background. Palate is similar with sweet pastry stout notes. Lingering marshmallow and milk chocolate on the finish.
