Bottle shared at Merton Beer Festival, Oxon, Saturday 25th February cheers FatPhil. Quite a boozy nose, plenty of sweetness here, soft in the mouth. Finding it a little too boozy, some heat, not overly complex Glen says more English strong in style we all agreed, fine. Cheers Phil and Anna. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Smell of overripe fruit, hops, some rum. Hazy dark amber colour, beige head. Aroma of raisins, overripe fruit, some oak, alcohol. Could be better if considerably milder. Sweet. Lively carbon, oily texture. Half heavy body.

A black beer, a head is medium and yelloyish beige. Aroma is weird, sourness of berries, some roastiness. Taste has the same berries that are in the aroma, but now also some liquirice. Medium bodied, smooth. A very weird brew, a porter is far away. Unpure, sour and berry. Not bad, but totally not that was expected.
