Pours very dark brown. Coca Cola like color. Scent is intense on the bitter spices. Smells like an Italian Vermuth. honey character provides some more expanded width to the scent, but isn't recognizable to me. Taste is medium intense to intense, spices - obviously. Again, Italian vermuth comes to mind. very bitter finish ( especially for a mead). Honey provides depth and a more smooth body, as this is not dry (unlike vermuth). A mind-boggeling drink, is this apperitive or desert ? In any case, it's unique and enjoyable - but not my favorite.

Pours a clear ambergold. Some sediment. Scent is spice, cinnamon (I'm used to disliking it in Imperial Stouts, but in meads it does seem to work better! ) medium honey underneath. Taste is full, smooth, thick honey profile, cinnamon very well recognizable. Making this essentialy a liquid 'granny's coockie' . Not completely in love, but I do like it, in a way.

Pours a clear copper. Scent is very unique and intense. Coocking herbs ( hard to pinpoint them exactly) raw floral characters. Dandelion. Taste has a slight sparkle of CO2 ( this was a sample flask, perhaps a bit undesired refermentation?) surprisingly complex - floral, herbal (even though this is without additions?) even almost a barrel (oak) profile. Very nice! only a medium MF (lift up by the co2?). Not my favorite, but so, so different than other base mead's - you cannot not respect this one ! Slight bitterness in the finish.

Pours a clear copper. Scent is intense, woody? nutty ! oxidative aspects, perhaps because of the sample flask ? i hope not, since this is really, really nice ! madeira like. Taste is intense, smooth sweetness. nutty. oak. Lovely oxidative profile, and super smooth body ! Awesome mead.

Pours a medium colored gold. Scent is intense, lemongrass, pot-pourri, dried herbs and floral notes. fairly sharp. Taste is smooth, sweet, spices (herbs) are obviously intense. it somehow works. Some ginger(?) spicyness in the back. Coockies come to mind, making me think towards cinnamon, perhaps ? lemongrass. Not my style, bit too much on the spices. Coca-cola aspects even. but fairly well made, and I can see this being enjoyed. Mild bitter finish.

Pours a darker coppergold. Scent is extremely dense, aged sugars, very vibrant herbal notes. woody, but not as oak-forward as you'd expect. More like a cedar almost -but not AS aromaticly woody. probably due to the spices ? Taste is full, fairly sweet for sure. Thick, very complex. Lovely caramel notes. Rough oakyness, oxidative notes ( nutty) . very juicy. Bit sherry like almost, or an aged Vin Santo. Lovely ! Ending is a bit cola-like (trought he spices). Might all sound very weird for a mead, but this genuinly is one of the most interesting and nice, complex mead's i've tried to date.

Gingerbread, clove, sweet, alcohol, dry, bitter, chestnuts, herbal

Magus, mesine, vürtsikas, hapukas, aniis, mõru, jõulune. Hea.

Nice spice, gingery, but balanced by a big charge of honey. And not too sweet. Medovinara prague
