Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 04/02/24. Moderately hazed raspberry red with a faded crimson cap that veers edgewards. Nose is plummy, damson, herb, straw, light smoke, grains. Taste comprises red berry fruits, plums, herb, Islay notes, light bonfire edge, tannins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close Solid complex kit ... up there with the very best in the flavoured cider world for me.

Panda at home thanks to Ed Danlo. A light hazed dep plummy red coloured pour with a fine off white head. Aroma is big smokey phenols, sugar plum, medicinal, cakey malts. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, mixed red fruit, plums, birsh smoke, stone, mineral, prune. Palate is semi sweet, chewy, fine carbonation. Excellent , quite unique.

750ml bottle from Pilton. Season 2022. Murky plummy purple-red colour, pink foam head and aroma of islay whisky cask, iodine. Taste is sweet, sourish, funky plum, ripe apple, juicy, fruity, then wood barrel, smoke, whisky cask, drying, phenolic note. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry smoky wood barrel and lingering plum at the finish. Nicely drinkable.

330ml bottle from Sandy Balls Holiday Village farm shop. Pours a clear gold, fine effervescence. Aroma of lightly caramelised apple fruit. Flavour profile presents a pleasant keeved character, perhaps a bit of age on it, good stewed fruit with a soft tannin presence, some crisp apple skin on the finish. Quite nice.
