Hibiscus hints, fruity and floral but nice saison stuff behind it. Good’un.

Yorocco x Pigalle Stammtisch Helles 5% Golden copper color with a bready aroma. The taste is bread and honeycombs with a lingering strawberry blossoms flavor in the finish. Crisp and tasty!

Yorocco Biwa Vana On opening this orange colored brew gave off a medicinal Biwa flavored cough drop aroma. Medium bodied with a soft round carbonation. The taste is lightly tart with that medicinal, then Biwa, a hit of sweet butter biscuits then medicinal and hints of sweet Biwa dancing around. Bizarre and not in a good place at the moment.

Light berry, light saison. Very easy going but the taste is a bit subdued unless you really gulp it. If you do, it’s a good’un!

A friend kindly gave me this: Yorocco Session Lager IPL 5% This deep gold beauty has a very fragrant mouthwatering fresh pine needles aroma. Medium bodied with a lush mouthfeel and that minty pine flavor with good malt sweetness to balance things out. Not complex but oh so tasty.

Not as expected . Quite malty, caramel, but with holy bitterness at the finish. Quite leafy. Bit of sweets.

Can from the brewery. Lovely hoppy nose. Crisp, sweet citrus fruits, light topical notes, peach, orange, biscuity malt. No cat piss, which is a great thing cause I hate it in IPLs. Deep orange-amber, lightly hazy, with a tall, bubbly head. Big fruity flavor, rich honey malts, orange and peach and mango, light resin, slightly dank, bitter finish. Rather full body for 5%. Quite satisfying. Just the finish is a bit too thick maybe. Very nice though.

Can. Mail order from the brewery for home drinking. Soft malt nose, bread, crackers, light herbal and lemony hops. Very clean, not yeasty. Brilliant bright golden color; clear, with a medium head. Crisp, soft, malty, bready, fluffy biscuits, lemony hops, Finish is a bit lemony and spicy. Very easy drinking, mellow, and smooth. Good first helles. Not perfect, but they got the malt down nicely.

Can from the brewery, their first beer to be put into cans. Bit Amarillo nose, peaches, oranges, spicy yeast, biscuity malt, very juicy citrus and stone fruitiness. Brilliant, lovely nose. Hazy medium to deep golden orange, low thick head. Fruity, spicy, Belgian yeast, maybe spices added, creamy. Peppery bitterness goes well with the spicy yeast and big hops. Not sure what the style is supposed to be, but I sense the Belgian yeast, so probably a saison massively hopped with Amarillo. Damn good. Crisp body.
