Deep copper with a fizzy white head. Thin bodied. Fruity notes with some malt backbone. Not bad, but misses the mark a bit.

Deep golden with a white, firm head. Classic saison if there ever was one. Yeast, fruits, must, earthy. Finish has some medium dryness. Full bodied. I wish it was a touch snappier in the finish but otherwise a great brew.

Can from the brewery. Rather pale golden color, clear, with a tall, fine head. Effervescent. Bright hop nose, lots of citrus, spice, great use of Centennial. It blends very nicely with the spicy saison yeast. Crisp, dry flavor, nice fruit hops and spicy yeast. Orange, tropical fruit, lemon. Finish is bitter, spicy, citrus. Crisp and light. Solid.

Can from the brewery. Mail order. Nutty, malty nose, toasted wheat bread, stone fruits, barley sugar. Rich and malty, nutty, toasty, grainy. Very nice malt character, just a bit sweet, with fruity notes, peach, touch of banana, esters, apple. Full body. Toasty, nutty finish. The overwhelming impression is nutty malt. A bit more estery than I expected, somewhat like a kellerbier. Deep orange-brown, hazy, low head. I like it, though it seems a bit young.

Initial spiciness and then lovely saison-ness. Nice fruity yoghurt kind of thing going on.

Yorocco Dry Hopped Farmhouse Saison 5% Slightly opaque gold with 1cm of dense white foam and a white pepper, sharp catpiss and spicy saison aroma. Medium bodied and fairly smooth with sweet tarts and spice flavor. I’m thinking this was dry hopped with Citra and Sorachi Ace. A really nice well put together beer.

375 ml bottle from the brewery. Deep reddish brown, cloudy, with a lacy head. Nose is fresh citrus, wine, hay, light caramel malts, old books. Brett character evident but still rather young. More brett in the flavor, dry, dusty, leather, oak, red wine, citrus. Quite complex. Crisp and tangy, nicely carbonated. I would like to try it after 6 months more aging, to see how much more complexity can be wrung out of it. Now it is very drinkable and tasty, with a nice oaky finish. The wine character really comes through.

375ml bottle, mail order from the brewery. Funky, barnyard bretty nose, lots of citrus, kumquat, lemon, grapefruit, some apple and grapes, dusty old books, leather. A touch of caramel. Deep amber-brown with a lacy head. More kumquat in the flavor, bready malt residues, touch of caramel, wine, oak tannins, minerals, dust, hay. Very complex, and the kumquat adds a nice layer of fruity drinkability. Finish of malt, citrus, bretty hay, oak. Not too bitter, but gets it right. Body is crisp and lightly fizzy. Well done. Very subtle flavors overall, but very complex and satisfying.

Can from the brewery. Nose is dry plums, Belgian yeast spice, grains. Hazy golden orange. Creamy malt flavor with wheat, plum, herbs, lightly tart, slightly sweet. Dry finish. Subtle, dry, and crisp. A very understated but delicious fruit saison.
