5th May 2015: cask, hand-pulled pint in the Royal Oak somewhere in London. Deep red hue to the brown body, a beige head sitting on top. Malts all the way in this full bodied, smooth brew. Semi-sweet with very little hop influence in either the nose or flavour. Decent.

500ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, yellow-ish golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Hoppy aroma has notes of gooseberry and lemon. Taste is dry hoppy, tangy, slightly grassy, notes of lemon, lemon peel. Refreshing - nice summer beer.

500ml bottle. Clear, slightly reddish, amber colour with average to huge, thick, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Caramel malty aroma with fruity, hoppy overtones, hints of red berries, rhubarb, gooseberry. Taste is dry hoppy, slightly grassy, slightly nuttily malty basis.

Cask at the rake. Golden orange coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is nice spicy floral, pollen, honeysuckle hop, with a little pear drop. Flavour is light base malt, little honey, floral hop, pollen, grain husk! Pinch of lemon. Palate is medium light, grainy, lowish carbonation. Solid beer, nice and sessionable.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. Pale amber with a tight cream head; citrus aroma; sweet grapefruit taste; and a crisp lingering bitterness to finish. Rather good.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a thick creamy head. Fruit hopped throughout its character with a lower bitterness. Some sugar in its nose.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Dark brown-red with a slightly off-white creamy head. Itโs texture is easy drinking for its strength, with a small smoothness attached. Has a sweetened aroma and taste thatโs certainly fused with darker malts, some of which are roasted and thereโs a chocolate aftertaste.

Cask at the Greyfriars, Reading. Pale amber with a loose white head; lemony aroma; full bodied, with a tangerine citrus taste; and a dry, sweet grapefruit finish. Satisfying.

Cask@The Railway, Streatham, London - pours dark amber brown with a reddish hue. Aroma and taste is sweet malty, caramel, toasty, some dark fruity undertones, herbal hoppy, with some light spice. Nice.
