Lemon, biscuit malt, and orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with moderate off-white head. Mildly sweet citrus, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter tinny lemon peel flavor. Okay body. Nothing bad but pretty basic.

Draft. A- Vanilla. A- Black color, dark liquid, minimal head. T- Vanilla, mild brownie. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly sweet finish. O- Perhaps the first Moo Joos variant I didn't really love. Lots of vanilla but tasted artificial and a bit unbalanced. Okay.

On tap at Taphouse 41, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out restrained peanut butter and some jammy notes. Flavour is way too faint, not bringing out as much peanut butter as I'd want, with a thin toasted malt palate. Lacking oomph, but drinkable enough.

12oz bottle thanks to Toby pours out amber copper color topped with a sand head. Nose is so much peat rich pit fruit smoke meat and some barrel booze. Taste is more of the nice heavy sweet pit fruit peat smoke barrel and booze.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Super over carbonated, took a while to pour in the glass. Pours opaque dark brown/black color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and rocky khaki head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, nuttiness, cake batter, toasted dark/brown bread, light herbal, dark fruit, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. A bit fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, vanilla, chocolate, cake, and light fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, nuttiness, cake batter, toasted dark/brown bread, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, nuttiness, cake batter, toasted dark/brown bread, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, vanilla, chocolate, cake, and light earthy hops flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and zero cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 5.8%. Overall this is a delicious flavored oatmeal milk stout. All around nice dark/roast/bready malts, vanilla, chocolate, cake, and light earthy hops flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. No problem with the carbonation, after letting it dissipate in the glass. No off flavors or noticeable infection. Nicely rich for the modest ABV; with great balance of oatmeal milk stout and vanilla/chocolate/cake flavorings. A very enjoyable offering.

Dark brown coloured body with a thicker, two to three centimetre tall light brown head. Aroma of lactose, milk, cream, light coffee, some subtle cacao notes and a dash of cherries and vanilla at the tail end. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive toasted and slightly roasted malt flavours with some peat, but more of the milk, cream and especially lactose flavours noticeable in the middle. Aftertaste shows a decidedly malty beer with some light chocolate notes, a hint of vanilla, but mostly the oaty and grainy finish from the roasted malts. Overall, a light and thin beer that I wasn't expecting, but the profile seemed all there with a ton of pure milk and lactose flavours, but also some other nice flavours such as the cherries and vanilla notes near the end. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle as part of the 'beer of the month' club from my brother-in-law at home in Monroe, Connecticut, received in December 2017, sampled here in Monroe, Connecticut on 10-March-2018 at my brother & sister-in-laws - Thanks Brett!
