On tap @ BrewDog Grünerløkka. Cloudy orange body with a small off-white head. OK aroma of citric fruit, mature fruit, caramel malt and leaves from grapes. Pleasant flavor, sweet malt, tropical fruit, some mature fruit, floral and balanced bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste with fruity hops. Nice one.

On tap at Taps Trondheim. Aroma is very fruity with a huge peach and nectarines stone fruit character. Some lighter citrus and pine resin notes. Some medium light caramel malt notes with some light toasted crackers and honey. This smells like what happens when you stress the yeast used in heady topper (not necessarily a bad thing). Pours a hazy, slightly muddy, copper color with a medium sized, thick, slightly off white head that recedes to a thin film that lingers. Flavor is slightly sweet, but mostly dry. Some medium light caramel and toasted bread notes with lighter cracker. Medium bitterness with medium high hop flavors. Hops are mostly stone fruit like in the aroma. Lots of peaches, nectarines and apricots. Lighter plum and pear notes. Some light citrus and hop resin. Light honey notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent pale ale. If I am correct and the fruit notes are from stressed Vermont Ale Yeast or something similar, than I think less is more and they should focus on getting the character from the hops instead of the yeast.

Sampled from tap @ Kristiansand ølfestival 2015. Unclear orange body with a medium sized off-white head. Strong aroma of citric fruit, tropical fruit, pine, grapefruit and pale malt, but the hops is the dominating aroma here. Flavor is sweet, but not too sweet malt, lots of fruit like found in aroma and the bitterness actually feels moderate for a double IPA. Alcohol is well hidden and the all flavors, sweetness and bitterness with the body itself are well balanced. Nothing revolutionary going on, but a nice and tasty IPA.

Balanced body and OK aftertaste. All in all a nice pale ale, and served fresh it taste nice like most decent pale ale and IPA’s do.
