Oh yeah baby. Bring it on. Lovely tasty and complex black drink.
Deep mahogany color with a nice beige head. Ok lacing down the sides of the glass. Nice aroma intensity. Lots of coffee, vanilla, chocolate and toffee in my nose. Full body and a smooth nice carbonation that fits the beer really nice. A bit oily texture. Powerful and yet balanced flavor. Espresso, vanilla, toffee and chocolate. Velvet mellow sweetness.

On tap at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. Randallized with coconut, vanilla and chocolate I think it was. A lightly unclear dark brown beer topped by a small, dense, beige head. The aroma has chocolate, vanilla, coconut and dark chocolate, some caramel and nuts kicking in. Quite a lot of coffe in the flavor, some roasted kind of bitterness, with the same dark chocolate, coconut and vanilla known from the aroma. I’ts full-bodied, almost warming on the palate, and rather soft. Long finish with coconut, vanilla, dark chocolate and some coffee. The brewers told me they wanted the beer to be reminiscent of the red Bounty bar, I must say they did well. Feels a bit warming on the palate though. 151017

08.12.2016, tap (as Satanic Trump Panic, one of the last servings from the barrel, with all the bottom goodines in it) @ Café Sara:
Big brown fizzy-creamy foreverlasting head, very hazy. Looks like a chocolate shake. Aroma is sweet, dark sugar, chocolate, vanilla, caramel sauce, dark malts, toffee, chocolate pudding, minerals, grass, bark. Taste is slightly sour-ish sweet roasted, dark malts, sour coffee, minerals, bark, vanilla, espresso, grass, weeds, roasted grain, cocoa, lactose, hay. Medium bitterness, dry roasted and very dens syrupy mouthfeel. Nice one, if it had only been bourbon barrel aged. :-)

A really unusual nice and tasty brown ale. Brown ale are normally not my favorite styel.
Deep brown color with a fine tan head. Ok intensity in the aroma with coffee, mild roast, toffee and some chocolate. Medium + body and a smooth carbonation. Mellow nice sweetness. Velvet texture. Good complexity in the flavor. Coffee, toffee, mild roast, sugary and mild fruity.

On tap at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. A dark brown beer topped by a dense, fingerthick beige head. Lacings. The aroma has a light coffee-ish butterscotch touch probably from the lactose sugar, with nuts, caramel, roasted malts and a distinct coffee scent. It’s lightly bitter on the palate, full-bodied and pleasantly carbonated, with a malty sweetness, caramel, coffee and a touch of nuts. Lasting coffee dominated finish. Perhaps a tad on the sweet side this one, but sure a fine brew. 151017

On tap @ Patricks. Unclear dark brown body with a small, lacing tan head. Aroma has dark, roasted malt, light caramel, dry fruit and some coffee. Flavor has sweet, dark malt, toast, dry fruit, light caramel, coffee and moderate in bitterness. Fine body and good aftertaste. Damn nice brown ale, not so often to see a coffee brown ale, but it seems to be a very good idea.

On tap at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. A more or less black beer, topped by a dense, finger-thick dark beige colored head. There’s an intense coffee aroma in this one, some licorice and bonfire hints, and then even more coffee. The flavor has a nice bitterness, a sweetness that isn’t too lacto-ish, there’s some cocoa hints and burnt notes, and lots of lovely coffee. It’s full-bodied, warming and nicely carbonated, with an everlasting coffee dominated finish. A bit too warming, but sure a lovely beer. 151017

From tap at Ølfestivalen Nærbø 16.10.15 with ABE and OGJ. Almost black. Pale brown head. Heavy aroma of dark chocolate, vanillla, coconut and brittle. Even heavier taste of brittle and caramel. Sticky mouthfeel. Too much to drink more than a taste glass of. Some pine bitterness to balance.
