(Draught at T-Anker, Prague, 20 July 2014) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with notes of cereal, bread, grass and aromas of brew-house. Malty taste with bread, grass, a touch of citrus, and a certain grassy bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Light body, quite dry. Rather thin, but tasty for it’s low strength. Quite nice.

(Draught at Prague Beer Museum, Prague, 19 July 2014) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of black rye bread, coffee, chocolate and pine needles. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, caramel, black coffee, pine needles, hints of mint and a generous piney bitterness in a finish with a certain sweetness. Medium body. Tasty and well made. Nice one.

tap @ Prague Beer Museum Námesti Míru, Praha. hazy golden, mid-sized white head. Lovely hop aroma. Full-bodied, malty base that supports the loads of hops very well. Citrusy and tropcial fruit with ahsy resiny character. Gooood.

Tap at The Prague Beer Museum. Poured a clear medium amber with a huge frothy white head. The aroma is woody hop citrus. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth metallic woody hop nettle light liqourice bitter palate and a long fruity bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. This was really rather good! The English might have something to learn from the Czech’s!

Hazy golden color with small head. Light aroma of cereals. Cereally malts, a bit chewy, with more full body than a Pilsner, not as dry; grassy and fat hops, strong bitterness; light fruity esters.
Not as elegant as a Pilsner, but it’s a nice original try.

getrunken im Sommer 2013 Von dem englischsprachigen Namen der Brauerei sollte man sich nicht täuschen lassen - es handelt sich um eine Kleinbrauerei aus Prag, welche offenbar einen neuen Geschmack im Lande etablieren will. Zu den landesüblichen dunklen und hellen Bieren einmal ein interessanter Neuansatz, denn im Gegensatz zu Deutschland und Italien konzentrieren sich die tschechischen Minibrauereien auf etablierte Sorten - vermutlich ist man im Heimatland von Pils und Budweiser biertechnisch noch sehr konservativ. Ich habe das Bier leider nur in einem teurem Lokal in der Prager Innenstadt bekommen, in dem vorzugsweise (russische) Touristen abgezockt werden. Geschmacklich kann ich mich nicht beschweren und hoffe dass sich das Konzept halten kann.
