July 2010: Not overly impressed with this beer, had it a few times (bottled mostly) while on holiday in Turkey, this review is of a can taken in my hotel room overlooking the pool. Very hot day, very cold can, poured into a pint handled glass mug. The gold coloured 50cl can promised 100% Malt, everything else appeared to be in Turkish, so not sure what else was added to the Malt, not even sure you can add anything to 100% of something? Anyway the beer poured a bright golden colour and a good sized head of snow white foam sat on top. The smell was weak, hints of Malts but very little of anything, the taste was also very weak, again with a malt feel more than a flavour. This is a typical lightweight Euro Fizzy Lager and I’d expected more from Tuborg, even if it is brewed in Turkey.

July 2010: Red 50cl can poured into a pint handled glass mug. An off-white/cream coloured head sat on top of a deep golden body. Good lacing appeared as the beer sank in the glass. Next to no aroma, gets my standard 3 score for odourless lagers/pilsners. The taste was malts all the way, hid the alcohol at first, the 7.5% ABV appearing towards the end of the mouthfeel. The malt flavours give this beer a whole lot better depth of body compared to the normal Turk Tuborg Gold. I was expecting a Strong Lager nasty, but this suprised me with its subtlety and taste.
