Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Pale amber with a scummy looking cream head; aroma of fresh grapefruit; big tropical fruit taste, with passion fruit to start then a clean grapefruity bitterness; and a mellow and warming finish. Good stuff!

Keg at Beerd (The Grapes), Oxford, Saturday 30th January 2016 Gold with a white head, busy carbonation, a little too gassy, not a patch on the Wild Weather Take No Prisoners, but it’s ok, soft mouthfeel, hops really weak, a touch of butter, ok. A5 A4 T6 P4 Ov11 3.0

Cask (Salamander, Bath) - Dark brown in colour. Christmas pudding, coffee and cocoa in the aroma. The taste is spicy and roasted, but the spiciness has some slightly unpleasant astringent notes which affect the balance and therefore the enjoyability of this beer.

Cask (Salamander, Bath) - Copper red in colour. Fruity aroma with raisins, toffee and chestnuts. Fruity, nutty and slightly smoky taste with notes of dried fruit, toffee and figs.

Draught @ Woolshed. Aroma has citrus, funky yeasty tones and apricot. Feels slightly sweet and tart. Foamy palate. Flavour has tart citron, yeasty tones and mild cardboardy notes. Also minerals. Feels floury and a bit watery too.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 7/1/2016. Interesting to read the previous reviews. By the time I got tho drink the beer in the 3Ts, it was dominated by its lactose character, with only a hint of spice and chocolate. An interesting beer, but not one I would rush to drink again.

Draught. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is caramel malts, grass, some zest, citrus and mild toffeeish notes. Flavour is toffee, citrus, some caramel and mild honey and nectar to it. Mellowly bitter.

Draught. Black colour with a small brown creamy head. Aroma is peated malts, some mild aloe vera like notes, with chocolate and mild roasted maltiness. Flavour is quite similar, with a mild touch of blood/metal to it. Not the most wellbalanced impy around...

Cask at The Punch House, Monmouth, Monmouthshire, Saturday 2nd January 2016 I should have taken a photo of this beer as I have spent 20 mins trying to track it down on Google, Untapped etc to no avail. I seen to recall that this was brewed with a pub, it may have been the Lazy Dog? It was a milk stout and somewhere between 4-5%. Pours black with a small bubbly brown loose head. Milky (lactose) and also roasty with a little coffee. Simple but decent milk stout. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Draught @ BrewDog Gbg. Pours hazy golden with a big frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some big spotty trace on the glass. Smell is yeasty and spicy with crackers, hay, dry soil, white pepper corns, cloves, dry soil and lemon zest. Taste is bitter, tiny fruity and spicy. mouthfeel is dry, slightly astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter with crackers, red pears, hay, dry soil, minerals, white pepper corns, cloves and lemon zest. Decent phenolic saison.
