Pour is a hazy brown with a small white head. Aroma is some toasted bread and a bit of nuttiness. Flavor is some bland malt and overall very watery. This was a bit too thin. Needed a lot more malt presence.

On tap at Black Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow gold with small frothy white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is floral and melon. Medium body, grass, melon, wheat, light finish, good.

Draft. Clear amber body with a frothy, off-white head, diminishing. Aroma of toasted grain, caramel, nuts. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Some biscuit taste with a hint of raw grain. A bit chalky in the finish. Just kinda blah with hints of dusty grain.

Bomber from the Bottle King in Livingston. Muddy reddish-brown. Heavy sweet aroma and flavor, lots of caramelized malt, toffee, and some brown sugar. Malt sure is the star, but it could use balance for sure. This is just to sweet for my personal taste at least. Hides the ABV pretty well though.

Pours red with a short lasting head of foam. Best by November 2016.

Some caramel malt and light hops in the smell. Reminds me of Alaskan Amber, another Alt style ale.

Light sweetness, mild bitterness, more earthy than anything else. Doesn’t stand out but is quite drinkable and enjoyable. I wish that I remembered how this stacks up to the old original from H.C. Berger.

Sample at Crafted & Cured. The beer is a brownish-amber color with a thin off-white head that recedes quickly to a dense film. Spotty lacing. Malty aroma with funky fruit and yeast in the background. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, subtle brett yeast and fruit. The finish is slightly oaky and funky with a fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.
