Tasting flight at the brewery. Very clear bright gold and has an off white head. Clean hoppy green herbal nose while the taste is bitter green hops with just a bit of sweetness. Meh, ok but not that balanced.

Tasting flight at the brewery. Mahogany brown with a light beige head. Soft roasty chocolate that brings to mind a London Porter. Medium to light bodied and very dry. The taste is roasty chocolate with a dash of lactose. Best of the set but average.

On tap at the brewery where this sounded really cool so the guys I was with ordered a taster. However, when we got it the aroma was bacon fat with light maple. Never smelled fat like that so kind of off-putting. The taste was alright bacon, some smoke and roasty chocolate. Overall it was OK.

12oz can. Deep brown-black body. Big, foamy, beige head. Some nice roastiness, but mostly over-the-top adjuncty chocolate syrup tones. The oatmeal certainly smooths it out. On the fuller side of medium bodied. Mild coffee backdrop. An OK dark beer, a little watery, thin with the malt depth though.

Sample from a can. Clear, light brown color, with a bit of beige, bubbly head. The nose is strong, simple maltiness (maybe some whole grain bread, brown sugar, and a bit of overripe apples), with some notes of peat and honeysuckle. Sweet and malty, with a little bitterness for balance. Light to medium body, flat, a little creamy, and clean. This is a simple and yet delicious malty beer. Easy drinking, malt forward yet balanced, with a clean finish.

Sample from a can. Pours dark brown, with a small, tan head. The nose is strong milk chocolate, with some light roast coffee, butterscotch, and a bit of peat coming forward. Sweet and malty, with a nice touch of bitterness in the finish. Medium body, smooth, clean, and a little effervescent, which is kinda odd in a stout, but nice. An easy, simple, and well made stout. Lots of chocolate, but not overbearingly so.

Sample from a can. Pours a clear, bubbly, gold color, with a bit of off-white head. Brilliant nose of tropical fruit, with some wheat and cereals coming forward. Sweet and crisp, with a solid, smooth bitterness. Light to medium body, grainy, lightly acidic, and crisp. This is a solid, nicely aromatic IPA.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, dusty, moderate roasted. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dusty, chocolate, toffee - dark malt sweet, moderate roasted, malt bitter. 12 oz. bottle. Pours a beautiful ruby color, with a medium, frothy head that leaves a persistent film and good lacing. The nose is peat and hickory smoke, bitter pecans, pine sap, and pumpernickel. Sweet and malty, with a pretty strong bitterness that balances and dries it out well. Medium to heavy body, thick, and a little acerbic. This is a big, malt forward ale, and quite tasty.
