Very deep dark brown and muddied ruby coloured body with a thick, four to five centimetre tall tan head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of funk, cardboardie malt, some yeast, bread and a light cherry sweetness that shows only the slightest hints of sourness. Light-bodied; Strong cherry flavour at first with a more vinegar and vinous note that shows at first and then leads to a more malty flavour with cardboard, earth, a touch of nuttiness, some grain and a bit of dryness near the end. Aftertaste is fairly straight-forward with a little sour qualities, some cherries, a bit of funk, a little yeast and more of a dry malty character than anything else, and nothing too complex. Overall, a tad underwhelming with some decent flavours and sour qualities, but nothing too nice or worthwhile. Decent to try, but I’m glad I had this big bottle here instead of carting it across the whole of the country to sample and age at home. I sampled this odd sized 500 mL bottle purchased a few hours ago at SuperMarket Liqours in Fort Collins, Colorado on 05-June-2017 for US$8,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Cheyenne, Wyoming a few hours later on 05-June-2017.

Super hazy and muddied brown coloured body with a darker brown glow and a rich, thick, four centimetre tall tan head. Tints of ruby and even more clouds/mud are noticed throughout this one. Aroma of toasted malt, tons of caramelised sugars and raisins along with a good dose of earth, nuts and more pitted fruits - pungent. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong rich malty flavours with a good dose of caramel right behind and a touch of alcohol noticeable immediately after the first sip. Aftertaste shows more of a defined and elegant malt character with some roast and toast, but nothing assertive or horribly bitter, but the earthiness shows up toward the end along with a faint hit of nuts and more sugars than were there earlier. Overall, a nice rich malt beer with some good sweetness throughout and a little bit of earth and nut qualities that show well, also. Nice to try, nothing spectacular, but a solid offering and worth bringing back across the country to try. I sampled this wax-topped twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Beverage in Thornton, Colorado on 15-March-2016 for US$4,99 sampled at home in Washington a few hours before leaving back for Thornton on 03-June-2017.

On tap at Denver Rare Beer Tasting 8. Pours a hazy copper gold with frothy white head. The aroma is oak, whiskey, citrus, vanilla. Medium body, nice sweetness, vanilla, leather, oak, boozy finish, very good.

Deep red colour, very small head of foam that doesn’t stick around very long.
Sort of cherry tart nose mixed with sweet; tart wins by a nose.
Taste is a bit sweeter to me than tart. Unmistakable that it involves cherries. Bit of funk, I "think".
Not worth +$13 for a 16 ounce can. Good for a tick only.

Can. A- Soapy, musty, lychee, tropical fruits. A- Gold color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Pine, bitter, stale, musty, citrus, unbalanced. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, musty finish. O- Weird. Definitely more IPA than Gose despite the style listing. Not really a fan but still one of the better things I’ve had from FoCo.

12oz bottle. Was very surprised to see something like this from this brewery. No date. Pop the cap and foam slowly moves up the bottle neck. Of course, the beer pours with a big head, foamy, thick, and sticky. Thick and hazy color, a deep reddish hued amber. Can’t see through the beer. Aroma is definitely brett, strong with a wild bouquet that includes mild oily brett with fruity syrup and some of the herbal funk. Once in a whule I get a very strong herry character from brett and that is part of this bouquet. Its a crazy brett but not too crazy. Mouthfeel has a slick body that goes along a slick bretty flavor. Similar mix of wild, fruity, and herbal brett. Some orage marmalade at the back end. Still a moderate malt sweetness leaving plenty of food for the beasties. My guess, these will likely turn to full on gushers soon.

This beer is a dark brown color with a medium thick beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of chocolate, malt and coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of roasty malt, cocoa and mild coffee. The finish is sweet with a creamy milk chocolate and malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft/Fest. A- Bland, slightly malty. A- Copper color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Bland, subtle caramel. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- Bland should have been the name of this beer. It literally somehow tastes like nothing. Definitely not salted caramel or a scotch ale. A very mild malty caramel flavor but that’s it. It’s somehow the most boring tasteless beer I’ve ever had.
