Keg @ Cafe Choux Choux, Keighley. Called ’Golden Lager’. Golden-blonde with a thin head a plenty of carbonation. Hardly any nose, just some light lager malts that get a little more stated in its taste, bu not much. Crisp and easy drinking.

Cask at the Haltwhistle Comrades Club. Light gold with a fairly lively white head. Lemon, candyfloss and floral scent. Taste is gently bittersweet, although not engaging, it is certainly drinkable. Slightly dry finish. Ok really.

Cask at the Farmers Arms, Ulverston. Copper and clear, with a small white head. Malt, apricot and a hint of ammonia in the bouquet. A big malt hit in the taste, with fruity notes: I’m getting guava and maybe quince. It’s not really my kind of beer, but I got on all right with it.

On tap at Twice Brewed Inn. Pours golden with white head. Malty, caramel, bit fruity and watery.

A clean golden ale with a fair head on top, and a sharp bitterness to its taste.

Fine looking golden ale with a small white head. A healthy bitterness in its aroma and smooth tasting.
