Bottle (bomber) to tulip. Consumed 12/10/2017.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a thin cap of khaki foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: thick fudge-like to brownie-like chocolatey rich tones with black coffee and caramel/toffee lingering indulgent sweetness with fresh sprucy/pine needly hops in the middle; subtle boozy sweetness
Flavor: pretty much is spot on of the aromas in a very sweet decadent quality with a subtle roasty tone underneath; finishes extremely rich and decadently sweet
Texture: full bodied; this is a sipper; great smoothness along the tongue with just a little bit of alcohol noted but seems not very bothersome; good carb level
Overall: what a big boozy stout and one I would welcome again!
