Can to tulip.
Appearance: semi-hazy burnt orange to copper color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head which settled off at a nice pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: piney sweet to orangey sweet with a light undertone of green apple; super light biscuity malt backbone
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet quality; finishes off dry with a touch of orangey to piney bittersweetness
Texture: light to medium bodied - maybe a touch closer to medium; somewhat sessionable; some smoothness with a slight dry sort of tone to it; good carb level; appropriate level of bitterness assertiveness
Overall: I say it works as a West coast DIPA and I can see myself coming back to this.

Bottle to becher glass.
Appearance: dark copper color with a finger and a quarter of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet oniony, piney and orange zesty note to earthy hop arrangement with a slight floral hop note underneath then some semi-clean malts
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bitter to bittersweet sort of style; finishes semi-dry with a light earthy tone to it
Texture: light to medium bodied - perhaps closer to medium bodied; somewhat sessionable; some smoothness but also some rough spots of hop bitterness assertiveness here and there - not too burdensome - just noticeable
Overall: not a bad IPA, possibly one to come back to and somewhat "old school-ish" to possibly "West coast-ish" depending on who you talk to.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: glossy burnt copper color with a light transparency about it and a two finger white foamy head which tapered off at a nice pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: soft earthy to floral to herbal tones with a sort of hay/straw sweet notes; light notes of crushed coriander and mixed citrusy particles roam in and about the aroma
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to spicy sort of arrangement; finishes with a slight dryness and earthy crisp sort of spice
Texture: light to medium bodied; good sessionability; some smoothness but also subtle earthy spicy tones nicking the tongue here and there - nothing bothersome - just noticeable
Overall: I say a pretty nicely done saison very worthy of coming back to.
