Description
The entire idea of Oriel Beer went back in 2015 when we created the brand and started to make the building from scratch. Oriel Beer is a small family brewery, fully operated by ourselves, located in Bucharest, Romania.
The name Oriel comes from the archangel of light, wisdom, illumination and sun. He is a patron of the arts and science for his ability to inspire and one of the seven archangels who preside over the world.
He sparked our mind with ideas and we created this beautiful project.
Since we are a very small brewery, our production capacity is very limited and we can produce around 200 hectoliters per year, but we aim to expand in short time.

330ml, bottle.
Label says Batch 13, bottled on 2025-01-23.
Pours slightly cloudy, with medium white head. Nose is grass, some fruit and quite a lot of spices. Medium body, dry aftertaste.
A really good saison beer, which I enjoyed very much!

Thuis. Fles. 330ml. Batch 6

330ml bottle. Opaque, quasi black colour with small, creamy, fading, beige head. Relatively cautious, BA supported, caramel malty and yeasty fruity aroma, hints of dried fruit, raisin, plum, some sherry. Taste is caramel malty and yeasty fruity, slightly alcoholic and minimally woody, hints of dried fruit, raisin, plum, some sherry.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, slightly dry palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation.
Rather alcoholic, not overly complex - so-so.

Light funk, earthy, with some definite grape and vanilla notes from the barrel. A bit sweeter on the finish than I’d expect for the style

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Bottle looks interesting. Beer in the glass cloudy amber. Small head. Alcoholic malty aroma. Starts intense spicy-malty, more and more alcoholic. Herbal hints, some spicy honey. Finish could be a bit more balanced. Not bad.
