Clear medium amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, dusty, flowers, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caramel, grass, dusty, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (swing top bottle) Hazy, orange-amber colour with a firm and medium-sized, minimally off-white foamy head. Mildly smoked malty aroma with bready notes, smoked ham and a whiff of elderflowers. Mildly sweet and delicately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft and well-carbonated mouthfeel. Bready malty base with meaty smoky accents, traces of caramel, mildly herbal-spice, hay and again hints of elderflowers; moderately dry, mildly sweet and slightly hop bitter finish with notes of smoke and elderflowers. Enjoyable and complex Rauchbier. 19.VIII.17

Wuchtige Bügelverschlußflasche aus dem Bauernladen, Lichtenfels. - Matt goldbraun, trüb; reichlich Schaum. - In der Nase etwas gedämpfte, an Schinkenbrot erinnernde Rauchnoten. - Antrunk mild malzig mit erfrischend säuerlichen und erdigen Zügen als Kontrapunkt zu speckartiger, zart salziger Rauchigkeit. Anklänge an Waldhonig. Und das alles rund und stimmig zusammengebunden, dabei weich und füllig! Mild rezent, sahniges Mundgefühl. Im Abgang mit einiger Verzögerung erdig-krautiger Hopfen mit zitronigen Spitzen, der für einen lang anhaltenden Nachtrunk sorgt. - Ungewöhnlich komplexes und doch rundes Rauchbier. Ein Ausnahmebier.
