Description
Niall Fitzgerald and Kevin McKinney are the founders, brewers and driving force behind Stone Barrel Brewing. They both have a huge passion and appetite for all things in craft beer, from making to drinking and everything in between.

They launched Stone Barrel in November 2013 with one simple aim, to brew the kind of craft beers they love drinking. The good thing is that we love them all!

Malmö team tasting at Palace Hall, Malmö, Sweden (15/04/2023) - dark roasted and sweet malty with notes of chocolate, caramel, some burnt brown sugar, medium plus body, dark malty into the close.

Keg at L Mulligan Grocer, Dublin, 26/01/23. Almost clear golden orange with a good sized just off white head. Nose is ripe citric flesh, melon, orange peel, hint of dankness. Taste comprises orange pith, melon, grassy bite, pine nip. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juiyc come lightly resinous hop bitterness. Solid flavoursome session gear.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy yellow with a creamy, white head. Nose - orange zest, tinned mandarins and mango skin. Taste - fresh mandarin this time, with an edge of zest. Palate - light to medium bodied, tangy middle, dry zesty finish. Overall - lovely gear!

Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, grapefruit and peach. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long citrus, grapefruit and peachy finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Can, 0.44l. Aroma of citrus, passion fruit, flowers and cereals. Pours cloudy golden color with thick white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts light sweet grainy, citrusy and biscuity, following is mild tropical fruity and herbal, mouthfeel is crisp and rather dry, while finish is average bitter. Light to medium body, slick texture and carbonation in palate. Worth of trying another one…
