Description
Bullhouse was initially founded back in 2016 to bring to market styles of beer not commonly available in Northern Ireland. To that end, the first beers we brewed were an Imperial Stout and a Comber Potato Saison.
We work to the following four values which determine the beers we brew, our responsibility to our local community and to the local environment.
- Transparency
- Curiosity
- Community
- Creativity
With environmental sustainability at our core, we pride ourselves on using local suppliers where possible for our raw materials. All our base malts are grown on the island of Ireland. Unfortunately we don't have the climate to grow hops in Belfast, but we contract the freshest hops from around the world to ensure our hoppy beers are as flavourful as possible.
We naturally carbonate our beers using the CO2 produced during fermentation and have eliminated tank to tank transfers, further reducing our environmental impact.

Lattina. Un arco olfattivo dominato dalla frutta tropicale. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera elevata e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente.

440ml can from KWM Wines: BB 4th November 2024. Drank at home on Sunday 4th February 2024. Went down very well with some strong 'Red Leicester' cheese, chili gherkins and salty biscuits. Black bodied, tanned affair on top. Malty and nice, good body depth and a pleasant ABV that suits the beer. Leaning towards the sweeter end of Stoutness.

440ml can: BB 12th November 2024. Drank at my dad's on 30th January 2024. Light golden orange, hazy with a white head. Nice, easy blend of citrussy and piney hops with a decent bitterness; not a lot of malt action.

440ml can. Cloudy, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, fluffy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy fruity and slightly grassy, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, lemongrass, weak hints of berries, pale malty backgroud. Taste is minimally watery, fruity, slightly citrusy hoppy, moderate hop bitterness, sweet-ish, pale malty basis, minimally diluted notes of bramble and juniper berry, some lemon, a touch of passion fruit. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Relatively citrusy and berry dominated Mosaic flavours, almost no tropical touch; nevertheless drinkable and refreshing - OK.

Taste is initially watery, bitter, citrusy fruity, piney and resinous hoppy, pale malty basis with some residual sweetness, slightly diluted notes of lemon, orange and grapefruit, increasing sweetness, more substantial body in the middle part, again more watery and slightly mineral finish.
