Hazed orange with an off white cap that thins to the edge.
Nose is herb, straw, musty fruit esters, grains, damp cloth.
Taste comprises yeast esters, lemon rind, herb, hedgerow, vinous, wood must.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close.
Not great ... dusty, lacking balance and rather lacklustre all round.

Almost clear golden blonde topped with a thin just off white cap that veers edgewards.
Nose is herb, stewed fruits, light plastic notes, grains.
Taste comprises bitter sweet fruit esters, stale bread, herb, grains.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close.
Passable offering.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers. Aroma of stone fruits, peach, pine and malts. Taste is quite bitter but in keeping with the general aroma. Low carbonation. Nice.

375ml bottle from Steam Machine. Pale golden colour, white foam head leaving some lacing and aroma of funk, citric rind, fruit, rhubarb. Taste is tart, funky, lemon rind, fruity, yeast, with some rhubarb and light bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying tart bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

375ml bottle from Steam Machine. Clear pale golden colour, bubbly white foam head and aroma of fruit, funk, barrel notes. Taste is tart, citric rind, fruity, white wine, with some funk, wood barrel, and light bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry woody bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

One of the non-fellowship brews included with one of my Fellowship of Beer boxes. Aroma is boozy bur there's a sweetness to it, alongside bitter cacao and dark fruits. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head. Rich. Depth. Melted dark chocolate with a sour berry edge. There a playful booziness that has bite but also a smooth sweetness. The results of the barrel aging process adds to the beer, rather than smothering the output. Thick bodied. Oily. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Lovely silky smooth Impy Stout which seems to benefit from both the adjunct and the barrel aging.

Bottle at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, meaty, blackcurrant, raisin, rum, vanilla, taste is similar, sweet, fruity.
