Orange peel nose, grassy accents, lilly also present. Murky ochre, dense yellow head. Overripe orange, yeast, nougat. Full body, easy carbonation, alcohol not obvious, somewhat resinous. Really big, but balanced. Oddly, for a DIPA I thought the malt bill in this one kind of steals the show.

Grapefruit, rye, pencil shavings aroma. Cloudy ochre, medium yellow head. Grapefruit, triple sec. Subtle oak notes underneath. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation. Definitely a fruitier variety of barleywine. Alcohol fairly well masked making it seem like this a mere DIPA.
