Cask at Wellington, Brum. Hazy-opaque gold. Frothy foamy white head. Aroma has light citrus and not much else. Flavourwise it's virtually flavourlless. Lightest citrus sourness and smooth malts but all rather watered down. Light. Slick. Soft carbonation. A finish. Fell asleep after a couple of sips.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a medium sized golden cream head and good lacing. The aroma has biscuits, lactose and roasted malts. In the mouth it is sweet and smooth with a creamy (almost chewy) texture. Flavour has roasted malts, plum skins and dark fruits. Hints of bitterness, dried fruit and liquorice come later leading to a fairly dry finish. This is rather nice – plenty of body to it.

Hand pulled pint at the Railway Tavern, Newport, Shropshire on 22nd October 2025. Old gold/amber body, off white crown. Fruity with a citrus leaning initially, some decent malt action for a sweet balance.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. The aroma has tropical fruits, oranges and fkorak hops. In the mouth it is very briefly sweet before succumbing to hop forward bitterness. It is quite juicy with flavours of mango and grapefruit. Citrus becomes ever more powerful as it progresses, culminating in a dry and very sticky finish. Probably a decent bees but way too much citra hops for my tastes.

1/2 point from handpump(?) at Ship and Mitre, Liverpool. Black color, small tan head. Smells breadish, earthy, toffee, spices, bit nutty. Nice smell. Medium body, light carbonation. Tastes earthy, peppery, toffee, spices, cocoa, nutty, hints of veggies. Finishes lightly roasty bitter with notes of pepper, earthy and toffee notes. nice stuff, good complexity, nice to drink, light Veggie notes, which are not very distracting though
