Cask @ Old Vic, Preston. Golden with a creamy head. Edging towards dark fruity in taste, it's quite a gritty tasting effort for it, with malts evident, especially in its aroma. Has some bitterness.

16/6/2023. Cask at the 18th Braintree Real Ale Festival. Pours clear bright golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, tropical, hoppy, apricot, straw. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily, soft carbonation. Nicely done, most enjoyable beer I tried at the festival.

Hand-pulled half-pint at the Station Hotel, Oakengates on 27th May 2023. Clean and clear golden pour, white crown above. Nice easy blend with the Harlequin hops giving their fruity nature to the brew. Not often a fan of single hop beers, but this was fine.

Cask at Swan & Railway, Wigan. Pours a dark reddish-brown with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. There’s alts and raisins in the aroma. Malts again to the fore in the mouth along with liquorice, treacle vand dark fruits. Some underlying bitterness as well. A decent old school mild.
