On tap at the brewpub, pours a mostly clear dark gold with some ringing, white head. Nose is very muted, lemon... yeast... some paper... a bit of tea. Flavor is straight forward, some lemon, some malt, a little hand soap. Finishes mostly dry. A bit over simple.

On cask at the brewpub, pours a hazy gold with no head. Nose is nice, its a great blend of apples and funk and cheese and a little wood pulp. Flavor is nice, honestly it reminds me so much of the Basque siderias, apples, some tart apple skins, lemon, funk, cheese, a little rotting wood. Finishes just a touch off dry but not distractingly so. Very nicely done. A find.

On tap at the brewpub, pours a dark cola brown with some cloudy, ringing off white head. Nose makes you wonder... it's a touch sweet, malt, rootbeer candies, a little smoke, some butterscotch. Flavor has more smoke, a bit more roast, but just too much butterscotch, the hop is there finally, but it's more piney than anything. Finishes a bit on the sweet side. A touch off, especially for the style.

On cask at Fat Pig in October 2017. Pours a clear orange with some creamy, white head. Nose has honey, dough, some floral notes. Flavor is well balanced, doughy, lightly sweet, orange, flower blossoms, some light tea notes. Finishes lightly creamy and dry. THIS is a very good representation of "real ale".
