Can. Baker and Larners of Holt, Norfolk. Light haze on a medium amber. Decent soppy just off white head. Nose has spicy biscuit malts. Faint whiff of cracknel. Hoppage comes across ripened citrus with light herbal notes. Taste is semi sweet with a firm spicy bitterness. Easy drinking with a moderate bitter finish.

Can. Drove Orchards Farm Shop. Hazed pale gold. Slim sticky white foam. Nose has peach and melon. Bit of pine. Soggy orange. Sweet malt backdrop verges on milky. Taste is fairly sweet and fruity, with a modicum of bitterness. Decent depth of flavour, albeit sweet overall. No real let up on the fruit sweetness, even on the finish. Yeah it’s got Verdant writ through this one.

Can. Drove Orchards Farm Shop. Mostly clear pale gold. Slim white froth. Nose has curiously sweet grain. Mouldy lemon. Some ripe stone fruit notes. Taste has light grainy sweetness. Some lemon rind bitterness. A tad thin throughout. Fine carbonation. Light bitter finish. Duration usually do this style of pale ale way better than this. Verges on watery.

440ml can from Sainsburys. Pale golden pour, thin white collar of head. Light grainy aroma, touch of ocitrus. Taste doesn't deviate, light, biscuity, fruity quaff that's very easy to drink. A touch sea salty air too
