Rather than seeing beer as an established product in an established industry, we see it as a drink with no end of potential and variety. Hop Kettle Brewing Co. represents our means of exploring the possibilities of brewing, using a diverse range of ingredients to create beers with unique flavour profiles.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours almost black with a small cream head. Oats come through strongly in the aroma, alongside roasted malts and some smoky traces. In the mouth it is quite sweet and smooth with a creamy texture. Flavour starts off with roasted malts and chocolate and just a trace of oats, though the latter increases to dominate eventually. Hints of liquorice and vanilla later too. Finish is fairly dry. This is a decent dry stout.

Handpul cask at the Tap & Brew, Swindon. Dark brownish red and clear with a thick ring of beige/khaki head. Malty aroma, a touch of chocolate. Sweet taste, cherry tomato, light sarsaparilla. Light body, little carbonation. A bit too weird to be properly good although I appreciate the complexity.

Hand-pulled pint in The Merlin (Swindon), lunchtime on 21st December 2024 before the game (Grimsby Town managed to lose 3-1 later). Took a while to clear but it finished off a clean golden colour with a decent white crown. Fruity with a citrus lead, as I've discovered since, it's a watered down version of another IPA of theirs.
